Laser Acne Treatments
Laser acne treatments are becoming more popular in dealing with
severe acne cases. This treatment involves an infrared lamp or laser applied in pulses to the skin to target the
oil gland production which affects your acne. Acne laser treatments
can be effective for many people, but even some cases will fail. You can expect to also be on a topical cream
treatment even with laser treatments. Consult your dermatologist to see if you are a good candidate for laser
treatments.
In preparing for such a procedure, it is recommendad to us sunblock
creams daily and generally avoid the sun when it is strongest. In the actual procedure, many people describe it
as a warming sensation on their skin (most people can tolerate it quite well, a few report some pain during the
procedure.)
Following a laser acne procedure, you can expect to have senstive,
red skin for a few days. Treat your skin very gentle for at least 2 days to let it heal properly.
